| Abstract: |
| This paper studies the security of a newly proposed stream cipher structure based on linear feedback shift register, nonlinear feedback shift register and filter Boolean functions. A distinguishing attack on this structure is presented. An example is illustrated to show the effectiveness of this attack. This new attack suggests that this new stream cipher structure has potential security weakness. |
