| Prosody understand is the foundation of speak synthesis．After investigating the state of research in TTS．A method of prosody markup is proposed．Grammar and symbols of prosody markup are designed．The proposed method is used in a Chinese TTS system．As a result of it．simulation of stress and intonation is achieved．The naturalness of synthesized speech is improved． |
