| An event algebra is presented in the paper, which is composed of a set of basic events and some event operations performed on events. Thus, the sophisticated events relevant to many aspects can be expressed by various event expressions in the algebra.Then, a concept of "Active Knowledge Base" based on the algebra is introduced, and its applications, structure and implementation issues are discussed. |
